Building is older for sure but they have definitely put in a good effort to give it a face-lift. New appliances, nice hvac mini-splits, fresh paint and updated furniture. Lots of value adding perks and extra mile details like 24/7 heated pool, complimentary snacks/treats/ice cream/soda, 'emergency popsicle' service poolside and hogwarts letter and sparkling cider for my nephew's 11th birthday. The staff definitely embraced the customer focused experience and provided it amazingly. Well done guys! You might not be one of the new flashy spots but you are wonderful.

Staying at the Magic Castle Hotel was an experience that highlighted our visit to the Hollywood area. It provides that above and beyond aura one expects from Hollywood, but in a quiet, comfortable family way. One enters and feels the unique quality of the hotel immediately. It's a hidden gem worthy of extreme praise. In every way our stay at the hotel left nothing to be desired and provided a memorable experience that we never could have expected. It thrilled both the kids and adults everywhere we turned.

This was one of the best kept secret hotels we as a family have ever enjoyed. The staff were so friendly. The perks from free snacks to phone up icicles and outdoor movies, and a private magician performing at your pool located table while enjoying your included breakfast were fantastic. Cannot recommend this place highly enough. The location was one short walk to all the hollywood boulevard have to offer. 10 stars out of 5. Wow!!!!!!!

We stayed at the Magic Castle Hotel since we were going to the Magic Castle that night and didn't want to have to drive home. I didn't know what to expect and the drive-way entry was somewhat confusing, but after that it was an absolutely amazing experience. The initial welcome and service at the front desk was incredible! The staff was so friendly and welcomed us with a glass of sparkling wine, then explained the property and showed us where everything was. We asked to change rooms as the first room was too close to the pool and ice machine, and they not only accommodated us (even though they were almost sold out that night), but they helped us carry our luggage to the new room. The room was very spacious and very clean, with a full kitchen and refrigerator. We were only staying 1 night, so we didn't get to enjoy the pool, but it looked very inviting. And a midnight snack of soft-serve ice cream? Priceless. We can't wait to visit again and bring our little girl so she can enjoy the pool, ice cream and "popsicle hotline" for on demand popsicles. Highly recommended for couples or families who want to have a great, fun stay in the heart of the Hollywood tourist area.

We had such a wonderful stay at the Magic Castle Hotel, and our family truly didn’t want to leave after our week-long visit—it really felt like a magical place! From the moment we arrived, Kevin, the Front Desk Manager, made an incredible first impression. My wife said it was the best welcome she’s ever had, and I couldn’t agree more. Kevin’s warmth and attentiveness throughout our stay made us feel so valued, and we especially appreciated how he connected with our son every time we saw him. Our family looked forward to the daily breakfast, and our son was over the moon with the endless ice cream cones and snacks like Doritos. Alfonso, the magician, was a highlight of our visit. He was not only talented but also kind and engaging, bringing so much joy to our son and leaving our whole family amazed by his tricks. In fact, my son loved Alonso so much that we made sure to see him again on our last day. The pool was another favorite for us. We swam almost every day, and the water was just the right temperature—never too cold. We also appreciated the convenient on-site laundry facilities. Our room and the hotel itself felt cozy and homey. The location was perfect—central to everything we needed, from Universal Studios to grocery stores, In-N-Out, restaurants, and more. Plus, the hotel was quiet at night, which allowed us to rest peacefully after our busy days. Overall, this hotel provided not just comfort, but a lot of extra touches that made our stay memorable. We can’t wait to return!

The Magic Castle Hotel is — without hyperbole — one of the best hotels my wife and I have ever stayed in. The rooms are spacious, spotless, and just a short walk from Hollywood. All of that alone would have made it a great stay. But what truly sets this place apart are the little things — the thoughtful, slightly whimsical touches that turn a hotel into an experience. Free snacks and refreshments (yes, free — no $10 boxes of M&Ms here). A Popsicle Hotline by the pool: pick up the phone, request a popsicle, and moments later it’s delivered to you with white-glove service. And then there’s the staff. The level of care, warmth, and attentiveness was on an entirely different plane. They consistently went above and beyond to make sure we felt welcomed, comfortable, and genuinely taken care of. It wasn’t just hospitality — it was magic. (Too on the nose? Oh well, I'm sticking with it because it's true.) Highly, highly, highly recommended.

The staff here made the stay absolutely wonderful! Everyone at the front desk was incredibly kind and went above and beyond in their hospitality. The room was very clean and spacious. All the complimentary services made our trip so peaceful and worth the money. We would absolutely stay here in Hollywood again JUST for the hotel. Thank you for making our time here!

This place doesn't disappoint. Every promise of amenities was here working and ready to go. The reception with drinks is top notch. As a family on a budget , we were never going to be able to afford the hilton, Hyatt, ect....but this place made us feel honored and appreciated as much as any guest at some fancy pants hotel maybe even more so. Im excited to have found this place but also worried about a gem like this gaining too much attention. Thank you staff for all that you do , please keep this place out of the hands of private equity.......
